Celebrate your special occasion wearing this Millinery headpiece exclusively designed around the intricate Poppy flower design. This interpretation of the poppy uses pastel green with a hint of Poppy red bled down throughout the fabric fibres. This is a timeless stand out design which will suit modernistic styles.
Poppy is a one of a kind piece which is designed using our handmade fabrics. These fabrics are all created in house by owner Sarah. The Poppy flower itself is well established in cultural significance. In particular, the Greeks relate the flower to Morpheus, the god of sleep. His name is taken from the Greek word for ‘shape’ Morphe, this is because he takes the form of people who appear in our dreams. Morpheus silently approaches us in our dreams and gently wipes some Poppy flowers on our eyes, this is said to give us the realistic illusions referred to as dreams.
After the construction of the fabric each petal was meticulously cut out and outlined in fine wire to allow its shape to be manipulated and held. Each petal was hung and ink dripped down the fabric bleeding through the fibres. The flower itself is back by a large leaf two vines are incorporated from the back into the Poppy and are embellished with Poppy red glass beads to compliment the other features. There is a beauty to this piece which will really draw attention.
This design style sits securely and comfortably at the side of the head with a hairband wrapped in complimentary pastel green satin ribbon. This piece is designed to sit on the left side of the head
