Network IReland National Conference & awards 2021

Earlier this year I had the honour of winning The Network Ireland Meath Business woman of the Year 2021 in the Creative Professional category which led me to be in the 2021 nationals. 

I joined Network Ireland Meath in 2021 mainly because I really admired business women supporting business woman and lifting each other. 

I headed down to Waterford for the awards and met the other Meath finalists down there. The conference itself was filled full of women who have been very successful in their field telling their stories of how they got to where they are and it was very inspiring to listen to.

My favourite speaker of the day was Eimear Noone, an award winning conductor and composer. She works in a very male dominated profession and she has excelled in her field. It was very interesting to hear how she has been undermined by men in her career and how she has dealt with it. It is something I myself have come across time and time again and it astounded me that someone as successful as Eimear still had to face this prejudice. I knew parts of Eimears career but I didn’t realise the extent of her achievements. She is someone to be applauded and looked up to.
