I entered the Redmills Ready for Racing Style Event on June 14th 2020. The judges for this event were Fashion broadcaster & stylist Emily O Donnell and Fashion Stylist Marietta Doran.
The dress I chose to wear was a light pink dress in a scuba fabric from Asos. I designed my hat around it and on the day, the dress really was not suitable. The lesson here was always try on the outfit days beforehand.
A quick change later into this Boohoo dress I bought a few days beforehand really saved the day. The dress is classy and I love the cape/sleeve detail. Luckily the hat and the dress matched perfectly.
The hat has several elements to it. The colours are pinks, purples and yellows. Every element has been constructed using my handmade fabric’s. Each piece has been cut and shaped and then hand stitched into place.I finished the pieces with a beaded ball in yellow which added a subtle yet important aspect.

Again I had my trusty partner in crime my mum Margaret by my side for the Redmills Ready for Racing Style Event.
There has been some skepticism about where she got her dress. It is a Lidl Ireland dress bought last summer. It is a gorgeous design and where she bought it shouldn’t really matter.
Her millinery piece was again designed around her dress. It is a rose design with several petal elements to the design. Each has been cut and shaped individually and then hand sewn into place. I didn’t add any embellishments to this particular design as it really didn’t need anything extra.
