Thursday morning began a tad bit early, as in 2.30am early. The excitement though got me out of bed so I was happy enough to get up dressed and on the plane. I brought my mam along with me for the trip as without her I never would have learnt how to sew or learned any of my skills. So we started the day with a little trip to Harrods Champagne bar and a little bit of shopping and then it was time to get ready for the preview party.
I wore a Saraden Piece to the show of course because it was a millinery event after all. The exhibition was held at the Coventry University London Campus which was only a short walk from our hotel.
We arrived at the event to be greeted with a drinks reception and the exhibition itself was in a separate room. Each and every design was completely different and they were amazing to look at. I did find myself wondering how exactly each piece was made but that’s the designer and inquisitive side of me. Many of the designers were there on the night having traveled from Wales, Malaysia, Ireland, Spain etc.
Each an every designer who exhibited should be so proud of themselves and it was so nice to meet the designers I met. The exhibition is still running until October 12th and you can get your tickets here. Take a look at some of the designs on display below.
