In October 2019 I was asked would I like to join Leicester Fashion Week as a featured designer ans as I already had my collection from Birmingham that never got its deserved audience I jumped at the chance. I signed up for the 10 piece collection so it was an opportunity for me to add 2 new pieces to the collection.
The new pieces were constructed using my handmade fabric, Saraden Fabric. I kept with the Oceanic Nature theme with the colours and the inspiration for the designs.
I accompanied my designs with grey velvet dresses that I also made. They were all the same as to not draw the eye away from my Millinery pieces.
On November 10th 2019 I flew to Leicester for Leicester Fashion Week with my mum. The event itself was held in the Grand Mercure Hotel Leicester. It is a beautiful venue with gorgeous ballrooms and decor.
This was the biggest show I have done to date. There were a lot of designers showing on the day and also alot of models. I was early so got to choose my models and I was delighted with who I got. They were all very enthusiastic and knew how to work the camera.
I got some great shots from the photographers which I am grateful for. I never get to see my own shows so I literally have to relive it through the eyes of the audience and photographers.
I was also able to get my own shots backstage which was great to capture the girls in action.
